JB had heard fanciful tales of a really quite good cave not far from our hotel.
I was initially sceptical, but as he swore that we could walk there (saving our already battered botties), I agreed to go.
And I'm so glad I did blogmates!
The cave in question is Tham Chang Cave (in case you're ever in these parts).
We paid our entrance fee and crossed the suspension bridge (no trolls in evidence)
From there, it was a short walk through some lovely gardens, before yet another entrance fee and the 150 steps to the cave entrance.
Be advised that there's no oxygen available at the top.
Once inside, it was breathtaking.
Really well lit, with clear walkways and stalagmites and stalactites aplenty.
The Viewpoint at the top was just as good.
All in all, a grand day out.
*Take your own sandwiches, the food stalls serve what can only be described as an 'acquired taste'
Bon appetit!
