Railay Rehab

We woke this morning to brilliant sunshine and so it was straight onto a longtail boat and over to Railay for A Day At The Beach.

Aside from a minor incident when I got trapped in the ladder attempting to board the vessel, the voyage went very smoothly (no vomiting).

Regular readers may remember Railay from our last trip.

A place of stunning white beaches, palm trees, drug addicted monkeys and the odd monitor lizard trying to cadge a fag.

Imagine our surprise then, on arriving at said white sand beach etc to find that both monkeys and lizards appear to have been enrolled in rehab.

Gone were the glazed (and frankly preferable ) hairy junkies .

Likewise the lizards. (They may have been wearing nicotine patches, I can't be certain)

In fairness, the monkeys seem to have swapped the  smack for booze, but still......

As for the lizards, they appear to have got religion . Here's one making its way to the local temple.

Admittedly, it's  the infamous Todger Temple (see previous blog), but you know, small steps and all that......
